Professionally, Daffaney achieved notable success in the field of nursing. She completed her undergraduate studies in 2005 at Southern University, becoming a registered nurse, and went on to earn a Master of Nursing with a focus in Healthcare Administration and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, and a Master in Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a speciality of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama. Daffaney is currently a candidate for her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. She has over 15 years of experience in mental healthcare, including four in Oncology/Hematology and more than a decade as a psychiatric nurse at Eastern Louisiana Mental Health Hospital, and Community Forensic Services. She is a member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, and a charter member of The National Coalition of 100 Black Women – Metropolitan Baton Rouge Chapter. Her goal is to empathize with those suffering from mental illnesses, drawing on both her professional expertise and personal experiences.
